Gymnastics Medicine is hosting our first Grand Rounds educational event on April 11, 2021, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm EST. At this entirely virtual experience, you’ll meet our team and be able to ask all of the burning questions you have about the field and what we do specifically at Gymnastics Medicine!
What Are Grand Rounds?
In a formal medical setting, grand rounds are when multiple professionals in a single field meet to discuss one case. We’re taking this concept and applying it to our event by centering the topics around all things Gymnastics Medicine. The best part? You do not need to be a medical professional to attend!
We are opening this opportunity up to gymnasts, parents, coaches, and anyone interested in learning more about our non-profit and gymnastics-related injuries as a whole. This will be a great experience to understand more about this new field of study and get involved with Gymnastics Medicine in its preliminary stages.
What Topics Will Be Discussed?
We will be covering various topics sure to interest many within the gymnastics community during our Grand Rounds. We plan to kick off the event by giving more insight into our new organization, our mission, vision, and overall what we hope to provide our supporters.
After introductions of our team, we will go into more specific injury-related information. We will touch on topics from what to do if you have a gymnastics-related injury to the best physical therapy exercises.
