## What is Gymnastics Medicine?

### Vision

A nonprofit comprised of a collaborative team of specialized healthcare experts who drive research, promote evidence-based outcomes, and provide education around gymnastics-specific injuries by transforming the diagnosis, treatment, and injury preventative care of gymnasts.

### Mission

To be a collaborative team of gymnasts, parents, coaches, and healthcare providers delivering the most up-to-date evidence-based education/information and research on gymnastics-specific injuries, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and care of gymnasts.

## Who We Support

### Gymnasts

We take pride in educating gymnasts about proper diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care. Our goal is to empower athletes and encourage them to protect and nurture their bodies so they can better their overall performance and lead healthier lives during and after gymnastics.

### Parents

Gymnastics is a high-risk sport. When a child is injured, parents want to ensure they are doing all they can to support their athlete's well-being and full recovery. We offer extensive handouts and information on common gymnastics injuries so parents can take appropriate steps to aid in the recovery/rehabilitation of their gymnast.

### Coaches

Many members of our team are either present or past coaches. We understand the sense of responsibility coaches carry for their athletes. Understanding common injuries is one way you can help your gymnast be safe while training. We have all the information you need to learn the best ways to protect them.

### Medical Providers

Gymnastics-related injuries are often overlooked, and finding evidence-based gymnastics research and medicine is extremely limited. Our multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers makes it easy for you to access information on injury diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
